24 Hours Conference on Global Organised Crime 2025
On December 3, 2025, the sixth edition of the online 24-hour conference on organized crime took place, organized by the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. CIROC once again contributed to this conference as a partner.

Underground banking
During the CIROC seminar held on Wednesday, September 17, at the Debatpodium Arminius in Rotterdam, three themes took center stage: the phenomenon of underground banking, the networks and financial facilitators involved in dubious financial transactions, and the strategies and approaches developed nationally and internationally to curb underground banking and money laundering in general.

On the nature and approach to organized crime from detention
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, CIROC organized a seminar on the nature and approach to organized crime from detention. The reason for this was the report “Grip of in de Greep” (Grip or in the Grip) published in December 2024 by researchers at Erasmus University Rotterdam on the consequences of the approach to undermining crime for DJI.

On October 18 and 19, 2023, the fourth edition of the 24-hour online conference on organized crime took place, organized by the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. Additionally, we are pleased that CIROC was contributing as a partner to this conference. This yearly conference is designed to cater to a global audience without the necessity of international travel. This event brings together experts and stakeholders for in-depth discussions and insights on organized crime.

Tackling organized crime and subversion: what can the Netherlands learn from Italy's fight against the mafia?

More and more governments, policymakers, journalists, and researchers seem to be devoting themselves to combating or analyzing subversion.
